Tony Dodd - The Alien Factor

It was mid May and a beautiful sunny day on the East Coast of Yorkshire and a relief from the inclement weather which had persisted over the previous few weeks. John Peterson and his wife Jean decided that it was an ideal day to take their two children Peter 9 years and Laura 7 years for a picnic in the nearby Dolby Forest. The huge Forest, which covers hundreds of acres between Scarborough and Whitby, is accessed by a number of narrow roads, which lead to various isolated picnic spots amongst the trees. It is also home to many wild animals including deer, Badgers, Foxes, and Rabbits etc., which are a constant delight to the many summer visitors. The Forest area is also close to the famous Fylingdales Early Warning Base.

It was mid afternoon when the family found a site which seemed perfect for their afternoon out, a large expanse of green pasture totally circled by trees and an old derelict barn at one side. John pulled the car off the road and they unloaded a small table and some chairs. As they prepared the table with food and drinks the children were busy playing nearby and John and his wife suddenly became aware of two figures approaching them from across the field. As the figures got closer they saw a man and woman who both appeared to be naked. John and Jean were furious and John unable to contain himself shouted to them to cover themselves up in the presence of children. The two figures did not acknowledge the man shouting at them and did not alter their pace, but walked past the front of the two angry parents about thirty feet away.

It was at this time John and Jean realised that the two figures were not normal people; they looked strange and almost transparent. John shouted to his wife," I must get a picture of this" and ran to the nearby car where he hurriedly grabbed his camera. He ran back to his wife's side just in time to see the two figures walk into the open side of the derelict barn. Much to his wife's horror John ran to the barn, camera in hand, but was startled to find that there was no sign of the couple, but to his amazement he saw a perfect picture of them etched onto the wall of the barn. He immediately took some photographs and then the family hastily left the area because his wife and children were terrified by the events.

John and his wife have no idea who or what the figures were they saw that sunny afternoon, except to say, " Whatever they were, they were not human".

When examining this photograph I was intrigued by the remarkable resemblance to that of the Turin Shroud, perhaps the ghosts of our ancient past still walk the Earth when conditions favor them or do dimensions merge in this strange Dolby Forest area, giving open doors to other realities. After all, for many years this has been a hot spot for UFOs. And animal mutilations. The authorities are well aware of the strange occurrences, that have persisted in this area over the years, but of course deny all knowledge.
